This animation illustrates the difference in lateral shift between a common MEMs IMU and a KVH FOG IMU. It highlights the danger presented at times when vehicles enter GNSS denied environments such as tunnels, city buildings, canyons or other obstructions. This was derived from data collected and reported on by Draper Labs.
This video served as an aid to the sales team in illustrating one of the many key differentiators between our IMUs and competing technologies. It was used at trade shows and on landing pages and the company website.
